PCS Technical Notes: 6000, Temperature, Pressure, Limitations, Updates
6000 Pressure and Temperature Limitations vs Materials
Maximum pressure for DN-15,
20 and 25 is 15 Bar. See flow rate table in data
sheet for pressure rating of other sizes.
If float is SS and pressure is more than half the
limit then consider using the float guide to
prevent the float from contacting the glass tube.
Maximum temperature for PVC is 45 Deg C.
Standard seal material is nitrile and this has a
maximum temperature of 70 Deg C. Other seals
enable higher temperatures.
If temperature is much above 80 Deg C, consider
using a metal tube VA (M21, SC-250 or DP-65) for
safety reasons.
The 6000 series can withstand temperatures above
100 Deg C but this is not recommended for safety
reasons.
If temperatures exceed 100 Deg C for short periods
such as for CIP, then this may be acceptable but
the safety shield option
should be used.
