SC-250 Pressure and Temperature Limitations vs Materials
Below are details of the
maximum Pressure and Temperature limits for the
SC-250.
1. The pressure limits for the standard version
are:
With SS-316 flow tube or SS-316 flow tube with PVC
or PTFE Liner:
PN-40 (40 Bar) for sizes DN-15 to DN-65
PN-16 (16 Bar) for sizes DN-65 to DN-125
PN-10 (10 Bar) for size DN-150.
With All PVC, PP, PTFE and PVDF flow tubes:
PN-16 (16 Bar) for sizes DN-15 to DN-125
PN-10 (10 Bar) for size DN-150.
The float material does not change the pressure
rating.
If the pressure limits for the standard versions
are too low then we can offer special versions
with higher pressure ratings but the price is also
higher. We can offer with many different pressure
ratings up to 400 Bar. The higher the pressure
rating the higher is the price. If a pressure
rating higher than the standard version is
required then ask for a special quotation.
2. Below is a summary of temperature limits for
the SC-250.
SC-250 with PVC materials (float and/or body):
--> 0 to 50 Deg C
Above 45 Deg C the pressure rating is reduced,
check pressure rating if over 45 Deg C.
SC-250 with SS and PTFE materials and no
transmitter or alarms: --> -20 to 150 Deg C
Limit is due to PTFE
SC-250 with only SS materials and no transmitter
or alarms: --> -20 to 200 Deg C
For higher or lower temperatures, use the Thermal
Separator option SC/HT
SC-250 with SS and PTFE materials and with
transmitter or alarms: --> -10 to 90 Deg C
For higher or lower temperatures, use the Thermal
Separator option SC/HT but max 150 Deg C due to
PTFE.
SC-250 with only SS materials and with transmitter
or alarms: --> -10 to 90 Deg C
For higher or lower temperatures, use the Thermal
Separator option SC/HT
The Thermal Separator option SC/HT is suitable for
temperatures from -50 to 250 Deg C.
The SC-250 can be offered for temperatures up to
400 Deg C or down to -180 Deg C, for temperatures
above 250 Deg C or below -50 Deg C ask for a
special quotation.
